"Indentured servitude,( choice, contract, option)" another option for developing a labor force
     - No money for passage
     -Agreement with someone
     - Contract family makes, in return a " indentured servitude" is given which last 7 years

  • What was different about slavery in America?  
    - North America inherited status
    - Fewer people arriving
    - long- standing human practice in WW1
    - sense of ownership, physical possessions
             ~ conquest was controlled
             ~ Debt
             ~ Captured transport
             ~ Associated with race and skin color

  • African Institution 
     - In South America and North America
